Outliers

Outliers

If I have to think from my perspective as a reader, the 'Outliers' is a successful book, but not in the way one would think. Instead of focusing on the qualities that successful people possess, Gladwell emphasizes where they are from- means their culture, family, generation, and experiences from their upbringings. This book is quite a different book from its tempo, you need to condition your mind before you start reading and grasping what Malcolm Gladwell put forth his philosophy in front of you. In my opinion, this book wouldn't be 'travelling read', rather it is a 'sit-down and read' kind of book. The Story of Success is not to explain away success stories. But rather it is to learn from these stories, and use this information to help everyone be more productive and successful. The author shows several instances where proactive steps were able to ameliorate the effect of negative cultural legacies. This book is an eye-opener and will change the way you view life. It puts everything in perspective and will make you realize why such very successful people exist. The answer is pretty much right there, you just have to make sense of it. I highly recommend this book by Malcolm Gladwell. He’s definitely my favorite author now and I just like the way he writes and explains things.
